Solid Non-Insulated
Full shade, clean lines. A solid roof panel blocks sun and rain completely — our most popular choice for everyday backyard shade.
Insulated
Full shade, noticeably cooler. A foam-core roof panel cuts radiant heat and quiets the rain, so the space stays comfortable on the hottest afternoons.
Lattice
Filtered light, open feel. Spaced slats cast a striped shadow and let air move through — ideal over gardens, spas and entryways.

Why homeowners choose Southern California Patios
We’ve designed and installed wood-grain aluminum patio covers across Corona, Eastvale, Riverside and the Inland Empire since 2005 — Weatherwood-style covers are all we do. Every project above is a real install, finished in Weatherwood by Duralum so it looks like real wood without the upkeep.
Patio cover questions, answered
What’s the difference between an insulated and a non-insulated patio cover?
A non-insulated (solid) cover is a single aluminum roof panel that gives full shade and rain protection at the lowest cost. An insulated cover adds a foam core that blocks radiant heat and quiets rain — so the space stays cooler and can span farther with fewer posts. Both come in the same wood-grain finishes.
What is an Alumawood patio cover?
“Alumawood” is a popular brand name for wood-grain aluminum patio covers, so many homeowners use it as a catch-all term. We install Weatherwood by Duralum — the same style of wood-grain aluminum cover. It has the look and texture of real wood but won’t crack, rot, warp, or attract termites, and the color is baked in, so it never needs sealing or repainting.
How much does an aluminum patio cover cost?
Cost depends on the cover type, size, number of posts, and add-ons like lighting or fans. The best way to get an accurate number is a free estimate — and we offer financing to spread the cost. See our patio cover pricing page to learn how it works.
Will an aluminum patio cover fade, rust, or peel?
No. The wood-grain finish is factory-applied and color-stable, and aluminum doesn’t rust or rot the way wood does. That’s why these covers hold up so well in the Southern California sun with virtually no maintenance.
Do you offer financing for patio covers?
Yes. We offer simple financing, including low- and $0-down options, so you can start your project sooner. See our financing page for current terms.
What areas do you install patio covers in?
We serve Corona, Eastvale, Riverside, Norco, Jurupa Valley, Chino Hills, Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, Temecula, Menifee, and surrounding Inland Empire and Orange County areas. Not sure if you’re in range? Contact us and we’ll confirm.
Do I need a permit, and do you handle it?
Most attached patio covers require a permit. As a licensed contractor, we handle the permitting and engineering so your project is built to code — no paperwork to chase.
How long does installation usually take?
Most residential patio covers go up in just a day or two once materials are ready and the permit is approved, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
