• The rainy season, occurring throughout the year, may result in some leaks within the shade structure. Customers are advised that leaks may occur, and this is a normal characteristic of the patio cover.
• Any attachment to Fascia, especially L-shaped Fascia/Homes, 2-story homes with no gutter, and pop-outs from chimneys may guarantee the possibility of leaks.
• Stucco saturation may occur in residences where a patio cover is connected to a stucco wall.

 For any patio cover equipped with a gutter system, regular cleaning is imperative. The gutter system must be cleaned throughout the year to prevent debris accumulation

•  Debris and Drainage System

Over time, outdoor elements can deposit debris in the gutter, potentially damaging the drainage system. A clogged gutter system can obstruct water flow, leading to overflow and the collection of water on the patio cover.

• Guaranteed Leak with Clogged Gutter

A clogged gutter system is guaranteed to result in leaks. Overflowing water has no proper drainage, causing potential damage to the patio cover

• Cleaning Procedure

Customers are strongly advised to clean the gutter system according to the recommended procedures outlined in the instructional video provided by Southern California Patios. Please refer to the instructional video demonstrating proper gutter system cleaning techniques. This visual guide ensures that customers follow correct procedures for effective maintenance.

Proper maintenance, including regular gutter system cleaning, contributes to the long-lasting durability of the patio cover's workmanship. It is the responsibility of the customer to follow the specified maintenance guidelines. Failure to do so may result in the voiding of warranty coverage.

To provide clarity on warranty coverage, it is essential to outline specific exclusions. Please carefully review the following list of exclusions that are not covered by the warranty for your patio cover.

•    Any attachment to Fascia, especially L-shaped Fascia/Homes, may guarantee the possibility of leaks. This exclusion applies to specific structural configurations that may impact the performance of the patio cover.
•   Patio covers attached to 2-story homes with no gutter on their home are excluded from warranty coverage. Such configurations may increase the risk of leaks and are not covered by this warranty.
• Patio covers attached to homes with pop-outs from chimneys may guarantee the possibility of leaks. This exclusion acknowledges the impact of certain architectural features on the patio cover's performance.
• Warranty coverage does not extend to issues resulting from clogged gutters due to improper maintenance. It is the responsibility of the customer to maintain the gutter system as outlined in the maintenance guidelines.
• Any unauthorized modifications to the patio cover, including adding new work or making structural changes, are excluded. Examples include adding additional electrical items, heaters, or placing permanent structures under the patio cover.
• The warranty does not cover damage resulting from acts of nature. This includes incidents such as trees falling on the structure, impact from external objects, or walking on the patio cover.
